On Wednesday 5 November, we held our fourth annual Exchange-Traded Funds Roadshow breakfast briefing, in The Westbury Hotel. At the event, we heard from Ted Hood, CEO of Source, in a presentation entitled The Death of The ETF Industry. This was followed two presentations, the first on market structure and liquidity, the second on the future of the industry.
The event marked the launch of the latest edition of our annual ETF survey, entitled “2015 and Beyond”. This year’s survey included market makers and investors for the first time, making it our broadest and most inclusive overview of the industry yet. The results show that the market is expected to continue to grow, with Europe primed to do well. The future of the market will see increased competition and innovation, with liquidity initiatives and regulation top priorities. The report can be read in full here.
