Neil Gibson is EY’s Chief Economist in Ireland, providing economic advice, commentary and modelling input across service lines.
His current areas of focus include supporting firms to prepare for Brexit, forecasting the Irish economy and working with government clients to ensure a policy focus on long-term competitiveness.
Neil is also a Visiting Professor of Economic Policy at Ulster University. A regular commentator in the media on economic matters in Ireland, he functioned as a senior economic advisor prior to joining EY.
Neil has earned a bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics from Ulster University and a Master of Computer Science and Applications from Queen’s University, Belfast.
