Maria is an experienced Senior Manager in EY Financial Services Assurance, specialising in Banking and Capital markets providing both audit and advisory services.

Maria is a subject matter expert on IFRS 9 and has worked on the new standard implementation projects for large Irish retail banks in both an assurance and advisory capacity. She has extensive knowledge of IFRS, having advised many clients on complex accounting issues, including impairment provisions, complex financial instruments, structured products, defined benefit pension schemes and deferred tax asset.

Maria is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and also holds a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance.
