Fidelma Clarke is an Associate Partner in our Risk Consulting practice in Dublin with 25 years’ experience in banking, specialising in governance and risk management. Since joining EY in October 2016, Fidelma has supported global clients in adapting to the European Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) regulatory regime and is advising banks, insurance companies, MiFID companies and investment firms on the governance and risk aspects of their regulatory licence applications and operating models.

Prior to joining EY, Fidelma spent 5 years with one of the largest Irish banks holding senior risk roles during the bank’s transition to viability post-crisis and SSM supervision.  Before this, Fidelma was Chief Risk Officer of an Irish financial institution covered by the Irish Government’s Guarantee Scheme during the financial crisis. Fidelma has held both executive and non-executive directorship roles in financial services and has an M.Litt in Economics from Trinity College Dublin and a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors.
