Dargan FitzGerald is an assurance partner in EY’s Financial Services Organisation. He specialises in financial reporting for insurance companies and has provided aassurance services and accounting advice to insurers and reinsurers for over 30 years. He has lectured extensively on financial reporting for the Insurance Institute of Ireland and the Dublin International Insurance and Management Association, amongst others.

He is also a regulatory specialist and advises clients on regulatory and compliance matters. He has led insurance due diligence assignments, including wide-ranging reviews of business strategy, commercial relationships, internal controls and related matters.

He is also the professional practice director for EY Ireland and has extensive involvement in regulatory and public policy aspects of financial reporting and auditing.
