Alison Murphy, as a lead privacy specialist in EY, has over 20 years of experience working in the Internet industry across many sectors including telecommunications, cyber and digital solutions in client facing roles. Prior to joining EY in 2017, she worked with a leading global software organisation in a privacy and compliance capacity.

Alison is passionate about data protection and privacy and holds a number of professional qualifications, including Professional Certificate in Data Protection, Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). Additionally, she has studied Data Management and Analytics in Dublin Business School and holds a B.Comm from NUIG.

A central focus for Alison is offering clients a practical and applied approach to privacy, through the adoption of privacy by design and privacy enhancing technologies.  The adoption of good privacy efforts enables clients to develop and maintain trust with their customers thus enabling business transformative initiatives such as AI, RPA and cloud adoption.
