For many people, a major factor in why they stay in a company for a long period of time is because of the people they work with and I’m no exception to that. I’ve been in EY for nearly 6 years now and I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the smartest, friendliest and most professional people. I can honestly say that I’ve made friends for life here.
Career perspective
However, from a career perspective, I think one of the best things about working for EY is the real opportunity for continually improving yourself and progressing in your career. EY actively encourages you to think about your career progression. It provides you with the opportunities to accumulate skills and experiences helping clients on their biggest issues. It then rewards this commitment with more opportunities, promotions and other career progression milestones.
Biggest issues
The biggest companies in the world look to EY and its people to help them work better. We get to help on the most pressing issues affecting businesses today and so our breath and depth of knowledge and experience grows at a rapid rate. If you’ve got the appetite, aptitude and the attitude, there is no limit to what you can achieve in EY and where you will end up; whether that be as a Director or Partner in the firm, or returning to industry to advise and become the next generation of industry leaders.
My experience
I have seen this happen with many of my colleagues and I’ve personally experienced this. Within five years of joining EY I had been promoted from Consultant to Manager and then to Senior Manager, working on multi-million dollar projects for some of the biggest companies in the world. Very few organisations will give you the opportunity to progress so quickly and, most importantly, the experience and support to be able to do so confidently.
Lifetime
Whatever path you choose, and however long you stay here, working for EY provides you with experiences that will truly last you a lifetime.
